Dr Sergey Kurzin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Oriel Resources PLC, is pleased to announce the following appointments:
Nicholas Royston Clarke, ACSM CEng MIMMM - Chief Operating Officer
Nick Clarke is appointed as Chief Operating Officer and director of the Company from 1 June 2004. Nick is aged 52 and a Chartered Engineer with 30 years mining experience since qualifying from Camborne School of Mines. He has spent some 16 years in production management in the mining industries of South Africa, Ghana, and Saudi Arabia where he held senior management positions in production and technical service departments. He has worked on a number of world-class mines including Ashanti Goldfields Corporation, Ghana and Mahad ADH Dahab Mine, Saudi Arabia. In 1993 he joined CSM Consultants Limited (now Wardell Armstrong International Limited to manage the mining, geology and processing consultancy department. Since this time he built the company into an internationally recognised minerals consultancy serving clients in the mining and financial services sectors. Most recently he held the position of Managing Director Wardell Armstrong International. During this period Nick managed numerous multi-disciplinary mining project studies in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Romania, Macedonia, Tajikistan and in addition he has undertaken project work in Europe and Africa. He has authored a number of Competent Persons reports for mining company AIM listings predominantly in the CIS. Most recently he was the Project Manager advising EuroZinc on their proposed acquisition of the Neves Corvo Copper Mine in Portugal. Mr. Clarke will be granted 1,750,000 stock options on the date of his appointment under the Company's Unapproved Share Option Plan.

Geoffrey Thomas Bush, MSc, FCA - Non-Executive Director
Geoffrey Bush is appointed as a non-executive director from 30 April 2004 Mr. Bush is the brother-in-law of the Company's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and is aged 51. He is the Director of Corporate Citizenship with Diageo plc, the world's leading premium drinks company. Geoffrey has extensive knowledge in international corporate social responsibility matters, as well as earlier financial and general management experience. He is former chairman of the Corporate Responsibility Group and director of Business in the Community. He has also been an adviser to a wide range of networks including the UK Committee of Inquiry on a new vision for business and the World Economic Forum global corporate citizenship initiative. Mr. Bush is currently the holder of 300,000 ordinary shares of the Company and 150,000 stock options under the Company's Unapproved Share Option Plan (at an exercise price of 65p per ordinary share). Mr. Bush will be granted 500,000 stock options on the date of his appointment under the Company's Unapproved Share Option Plan.

David Swan - Chief Financial Officer
David Swan aged 49 is appointed as Chief Financial Officer. David is a Chartered Accountant, whose professional background in Perth, Western Australia introduced him to the hard rock mining and exploration industry in 1981. In 1992 he commenced his first hand experience in a series of financial controller and director roles of several public listed mining companies. David has gained experience in a number of IPO and merger negotiation proceedings and he has been responsible for the review and assessment of many mining opportunities. Mr. Swan will be granted 500,000 stock options.
