Oriel Resources plc (AIM:ORI, TSX:ORL) announces that options over ordinary shares of 1p each in the capital of the Company under the Company's share option scheme were exercised on 12 September 2006.

Details of the options exercised are as follows:

Number of options - 500,000
Exercise Price - 15p

Accordingly, application will be made for 500,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company, which will rank pari passu with existing ordinary shares, to be admitted to trading on AIM. The admission is expected to occur three days after the Company resumes trading post suspension.
